• Biomass production is severely deficient in the Sahelian part: Kanem, Barh El Gazel, Batha, Wadi Fira, Hadjer-Lamis, Guéra, part of Ouaddaï, Ennedi East and West.
• Biomass production close to average to moderately below average in the South: Eastern and Western Logone, Mandoul.
• Prospect of an early and severe pastoral lean season in 2027 for the North.
• High risk of conflicts over pastoral resources, particularly in host areas.
