• Normal to surplus biomass production across almost the entire pastoral belt with the exception of a few small pockets located in the agropastoral zones of Tillabéri, Tahoua, Maradi and Zinder
• Death of thousands of cattle and the destruction of important infrastructure by floods caused by torrential rains in several localities
• Animal mobility disrupted by widespread insecurity, particularly in the Diffa and Tillabéri regions, and regular thefts of herds
• Difficult economic context due to movement restrictions following the COVID-19 pandemic

• Déficits de production de biomasse assez critique dans la région de la Boucle du Mouhoun, du Centre ouest, du Plateau Central et du Centre Est
• Contexte sécuritaire très difficile surtout dans les zones pastorales limitant l’accès aux ressources et aux marchés
• Contexte économique difficile du fait des restrictions de mouvement consécutifs à la pandémie COVID-19 mais aussi de la fermeture des frontières avec le Bénin et le Togo qui traditionnellement sont des terres de transhumance pour les éleveurs Burkinabés
