Niger Pastoral monitoring bulletin for the Niger River – December 2025 – January 2026 06/03/202606/03/2026 Good availability of pasture but localized deficits (Diffa, Zinder, Tahoua) Sufficient drinking water resources were available in the majority of the monitored sites. Decrease in bushfires The livestock are in good physical condition. Slight decrease in animal prices, particularly goats Grain markets declined significantly, reflecting export ban measures The terms of the male goat-cereal exchange are generally favorable to farmers.
